Our History

The Temple’s dedication to early childhood education spans decades, reflecting our belief that the earliest years lay the foundation for a lifetime of growth.

Over time, our programs have evolved to meet the needs of a diverse and expanding community.

  • Glazer ECC, Mann ECC and Resnick ECC serve families across Los Angeles, each shaped by the neighborhoods and communities they support.
  • Our offerings have grown to include Baby & Me classes for children 0–2.5 years old, enriching afterschool programs, and engaging summer camps.
  • State-of-the-art facilities, welcoming outdoor spaces, and thoughtfully designed classrooms ensure children have the best environment to learn, play, and thrive.

Our Approach

Our inquiry-driven curriculum encourages each child to explore the world, develop essential skills, and grow with confidence, compassion, and a deep sense of belonging. We partner with families to build a caring community rooted in Jewish tradition, ethical responsibility, and mutual respect.

Our Legacy

ECCs are often a family's first step into the life of Wilshire Boulevard Temple, a place where traditions are celebrated, friendships blossom, and values are passed from one generation to the next. Our students experience Jewish holidays, participate in Temple-wide events, and see themselves as part of a larger community. 

Over the years, we’ve celebrated countless milestones, from first steps and first words to the proud moment when children “graduate” to elementary school, many continuing on to Brawerman and beyond.

We don’t just prepare children for school. We help them build the foundation for a meaningful life, rich with curiosity, empathy, and a sense of purpose.
