Tradition, Togetherness,
and Joy

Our community comes to life in moments we share, big and small.

From weekly Shabbat songs to joyful holiday gatherings and service projects, our events are where families meet, friendships take root, and Jewish life feels warm, welcoming, and real.

ECC Community Events

The ECC calendar is filled with family-friendly gatherings that knit our community together, moments to sing, play, volunteer, and celebrate side by side. These events strengthen our bonds, reflect our shared values, and create shared memories.

Examples include:

  • Pier Family FUNraiser: Our all-schools celebration at the Santa Monica Pier, where families, faculty, and alumni enjoy rides, games, and connection under the stars.
  • Holiday Marketplace: A festive shopping and social event that brings families together while supporting school programs.
  • Candy Drive: A tikkun olam project collecting candy for families served by the Karsh Family Social Service Center.
  • Book Fair and Spirit Week: A week of creativity and community pride that fosters a love of reading and school spirit across our campuses.

Annual Traditions & Celebrations

From Shabbat sing-alongs to holiday festivals, our traditions make Jewish life feel tangible, welcoming, and fun for even the youngest learners. Examples include:

Grandparents and Special Friends Day

A beloved celebration that honors intergenerational connection and welcomes extended family into the heart of ECC life.

Bagels with Ray

A warm, engaging parent workshop that explores Reggio-inspired learning and offers tools for nurturing curiosity at home.

Parent Socials

Evenings of food, friendship, and fun. Opportunities for parents from all classes to connect and build relationships that extend beyond the school year.
